Lisa Gold, LMSW
Groups Facilitated: Sib4Sib Junior
Lisa loves working with children in therapeutic group settings and has a specialty in working with adolescents, young adults and adults in private practice. She is motivated to help clients make meaningful changes through a strength-based approach, using a variety of methods to identify counterproductive patterns and address maladaptive behaviors.
Over the course of treatment, these patterns are looked at and replaced with new strategies and skills to better serve the client. Lisa is also well versed in a variety of other modalities to help her client’s address unhelpful thought patterns and change them into helpful thought patterns. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness.
Lisa is also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which she incorporates in her group sessions. Lisa strives to help her clients learn more about themselves by helping them build off of their existing strengths and then develop new means to relate to themselves and others. Lisa enjoys working in therapeutic group settings because she loves to facilitate healthy and supportive connections between peers.
Lisa received her Masters in Social Work from The University of Michigan and is fully licensed in the state of Michigan. She has worked in community based, hospital, and private practice settings.

Lexie Garfield-Turner, LMSW
Lexie graduated from The University of Michigan's School of Social Work and is a fully licensed- LMSW- in the state of Michigan. She loves working with children in group settings and has a specialty in working with adolescents and young adults. Most of her training comes from the eating disorder world - she got her first taste at The University of Michigan's Comprehensive Eating Disorder Program and continued on to Colorado where she met some of the most successful eating disorder professionals in the country. Lexie lived in Denver for three years, working with teens at a residential at-risk youth program and then opening a private practice specializing in eating disorders and body acceptance. While in private practice, she facilitated weekly groups for teens struggling with body acceptance and general anxiety. Her approach toward clients is one of insight and understanding, finding their narrative and working to better understand the patterns that ensued throughout. She likes to work from a strengths-based lens, reminding clients that they are capable of flourishing and finding happiness. Lexie loves bringing creativity to her sessions, with both individuals and groups, and tries to sneak in projects and sensory activities whenever possible. She finds that groups are especially helpful because of the connections that form between peers with similar stories and hopes to help facilitate these meaningful connections with Sib4Sib.
