FAQ

Do I have to be Jewish to attend?
No.  Sib4Sib is not a religious organization, nor is it affiliated with a particular religion. Sib4Sib is hosted at a synagogue because they have generously donated the space.

How do I sign up?

Will anybody know I am in the group?
No. Unless you tell someone the only people that will know are your parent(s), our facilitator, and the members of the group.

What if my parent(s) want to know more or have questions?

Who facilitates the group?
All support groups are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals. Learn more about our support groups.

What is the group's confidentiality plan?
Confidentiality is VERY important to us. Check out our plan here.

I’ve developed coping skills, what’s the point of joining? / I’m fine, what’s the point of joining?
While having coping skills is very important, it is essential to be part of a community of individuals who know exactly what you are going through. Our facilitators will also inform you of some new coping techniques that may work for you too.

What is the mission of Sib4Sib?
To provide a safe space and community for individuals to express the challenges of having a sibling who is neurodiverse or struggling with mental health. Learn more here.

How is Sib4Sib different from other groups?
Sib4Sib is different because it is geared specifically to SIBLINGS.

Which group is right for my child?
